Government IS Mob Rule
Without government, everywhere would become mob rule. Is this true?

So, what is “mob rule”?

Mob rule is defined by “violence and intimidation”, and often represented as synonymous with “anarchy”.
But the reality is, government IS mob rule, and anarchy is the polar opposite.
Let’s ignore the “popular” definitions and look at what these concepts ACTUALLY represent.
A “mob” is simply a group of people, often notable for using violence. And “to rule” is to exercise authority over others.
Anarchy comes from two Greek roots. “An-” meaning “without”, and “Arkhos” meaning “ruler”. So anarchy literally means, without a ruler.
This means that in our government controlled society, we have been told that anarchy means violence, chaos, and mob rule, and government means law, order, safety, and freedom.
In reality, we are under mob rule. A group of people use violence and intimidation to rule over entire nations of individuals, punishing, robbing, capturing, or killing anyone that doesn’t comply with the dictates of the ruling mob.
On the other hand, the vast majority of ALL individual interactions on a day to day basis, involve NO authorities, and simply involve individuals interacting voluntarily with each other.
You have been told that without a small group of people who can use violence to achieve compliance with their dictates, you would be left with a world where you would be at the whims of a small group that uses violence to achieve compliance with their dictates.
The reality is, you live the vast majority of your life in peaceful anarchy, interacting with people only in ways that are beneficial for all individuals involved. And only occasionally are you accosted by those who claim authority over you “for your own safety”.
So, is it true that without government, people living in peace would ALWAYS devolve into mob rule?
It is true that some people will, for a variety of reasons, attempt to use violence or coercion to get what they want from others. However, without the illusion of authority, all individuals are free to protect themselves against those who would use violence against them, and choose ONLY to freely associate with those individuals who WON’T use violence to get what they want.
